What Style of Chiropractic Technique do you use?

This is a question Dr. Algee receives often. At it’s basic he utilizes chiropractic neurology, balance testing, muscle testing, massage, and trigger point therapy. The application of his style changes depending on his patient. For example, the force, pressure and strength used to treat a mature female is going to be vastly different from the way these techniques are applied to a young male. Why do I need more than 1 Visit?

An individual may think of a chiropractor as a mechanic. You have a problem, take your car to the shop, mechanic fixes the problem and you’re good to go. And for many chiropractic problems this is the case.

Imagine if an individual hadn’t worked out for years, hired a personal trainer, and said to them “I want to get fit in one workout”. All of us understand that getting fit, especially in untrained individuals, is going to take more than one workout. Building the endurance of muscles and the nerves ability to fire off more often and sustain muscle contractions longer is going to take time.

Our style of Chiropractic, which combines chiropractic neurology, muscle testing, balance testing, and massage is about increasing both the body and brain’s ability to do work. Think of our Chiropractic style as more akin to the personal trainer rather than the mechanic.  Our goal is to increase the communication between the body and the brain while bringing down a patient’s stress levels.

How Many Visits do I need?

Treatments are evaluated on a case by case basis.
Simple injures are fixed very quickly ranging from as few as 1-2 weeks.
Mildly complex injuries range from as few as 2-6 weeks.
Complex chronic conditions or head trauma, are going to require treatments over a few months.
You, and the doctor, will know after your first visit if our office can help.

If you are suffering from a complex health problem, and visiting from out of the area, will treat you 2-3 times per day to maximize your treatment time.

How often should I come?

First and foremost, we are a Chiropractic Center that utilizes chiropractic, massage, and on occasion other therapies to achieve your goals.
Yes, we reduce pain and increase your range of motion.
Yes, we improve your strength and balance.
Yes, we reduce your headaches and anxiety to help you sleep.

On top of all that, we aim to reduce your stress. Most of us are not in pain at all times. However, unless you have achieved enlightenment, and live in a Zen state of being, most of the world is under an extreme amount of stress.

Food, exercise, gas, weather, politics, cost of living, deadlines etc……
Stress contributes to pain and diminished one’s quality of life. We aim to reduce your stress which in turn reduces your pain.

In a perfect world we would see you once a month to reduce your stress regardless if you are in pain or not. De-Stressed individuals think more clearly, are more at peace, experience an internal calm, and sleep better.

Why should I choose De-Stress Chiropractic?

There are a lot of great doctors out there so this is a valid question. Dr. Algee is one of only a handful of chiropractors who are trying to get the timing, firing, and coordination of your nervous system to a level that’s close to perfect.  Simple chiropractic ‘cracking’ can never achieve this goal.
